Taylor Swift normally remains tight-lipped on rumors about her relationships, but in a rare move, her publicist posted a statement online.
Tree Paine has been Swift's publicist since 2014, and late Thursday night, she slammed the anonymous gossip account DeuxMoi, claiming it was spreading false information about Swift and Joe Alwyn's previous relationship.
While Swift is currently dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, her new romance follows a breakup with long-term partner Joe Alwyn earlier this year. Swift and Alwyn dated for six years, officially separating in April. Despite some engagement rumors, the actor and pop star went their separate ways after "differences in their personalities," as reported by Glamour.
However, DeuxMoi recently posted to its Instagram Story claiming the pair were married in a secret ceremony before the split— and Paine seems to have had enough.

Newsweek reached out to DeuxMoi for comment via email Friday, and Paine declined to comment.
Your Morning Starts Here
Begin your day with a curated outlook of top news around the world and why it matters.
Some Swift fans have been recently reassessing Swift and Alwyn's breakup timeline after music producer Jack Antonoff revealed Swift wrote and recorded You're Losing Me—a song many speculated was about the breakup—a year before the relationship ended. They aren't amused by the heightened rumors surrounding the former couple, and one of them used the occasion to criticize DeuxMoi for previously claiming that the couple had a secret pandemic wedding.
DeuxMoi responded by maintaining that the pair had a U.K. ceremony in 2020 or 2021. The account wrote: "She DID have a ceremony in either 2020 or 2021 in the UK and it was described as a 'marriage' by more than one person. It was NEVER made legal. I will die on this hill! Put it on my tombstone! I have no reason to lie, I could give a s*** what she does!!!!! I'm sorry she didn't tell you guys about it in a song but just because she doesn't sing about something doesn't mean it didn't happen!!!"
This post seems to have been the last straw for Paine, who shared a screenshot of the exchange to her X account, formerly Twitter. She added: "Enough is enough with these fabricated lies about Taylor from Deuxmoi. There was NEVER a marriage or ceremony of ANY kind. This is an insane thing to post. It's time for you to be held accountable for the pain and trauma you cause with posts like these."
Paine isn't the only one slamming DeuxMoi, as others have now taken to X to condemn the gossip account for how it shares information with its followers.
"If Tree Paine ever told me that something was 'insane to post' I'd delete all socials and move to a remote island," one person said.
"Tree Paine is extraordinary at her job. I have... many many thoughts but it's 1am so I'll say for now: This is exactly why journalists and PR practitioners have codes of conduct and ethical standards, and why pop culture commentary *requires* such standards of practice," said another.
"They never get involved in s*** like this.. do you know how angry both tree & taylor have to be to publicly come online & bash them at 11pm like this is so embarrassing for deuxmoi," a third wrote.
A fourth added: "Deuxmoi is so f**** dense what part of "fabricated lies" and "posts like these" don't you understand ??? tree and taylor aren't just calling out this one lie, they're trying to put a stop to ALL the fan fiction you've been writing AND YES profiting off of."
"Me sleeping good tonight knowing that taylor and tree are finally comfortable ending celebrity blind accounts for all the harm they cause," said another.

Swift fans also took the opportunity to call out DeuxMoi for posting an Instagram Story theorizing that Swift experienced a miscarriage while she was dating Alwyn. While the post has since been deleted, it has been substantiated by Newsweek.
"I THINK it's because their post also reference the alleged 'miscarriage' and that must be a sensitive topic," one person said.
"I actually think the post after the one tree posted was even worse, starting up mis**rriage rumors, just like they did when bigger than the whole sky was released," posted another.

Taylor Swift first woman artist to have four albums in US Top 10 at the same time
C to I News DeskJuly 17, 2023US pop star Taylor Swift has become the first woman, and only the third artist ever, to have four albums in the Top 10 of the US album chart at once, while also beating a record set by Barbra Streisand to become the female artist with the most No 1 albums in history.

The 33-year-old’s latest album, Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), has debuted at the top spot on the Billboard 200 with 716,000 album-equivalent units – a figure that combines physical sales with digital sales and streaming figures. It is the largest week for any album in 2023 and the best since her previous album, Midnights, was released last October.
Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) is joined in the Top 10 by Midnights at No. 5, Lover at No. 7 and Folklore at No. 10. This makes Swift the first woman to have four albums in the Top 10 at the same time since the charts began in 1963, and the first living act to do so since 1966, when US trumpeter Herb Alpert achieved the same record.
The only other artist to have placed at least four titles in the Top 10 concurrently is Prince, who had five albums reach the Top 10 shortly after his death in 2016.
Swift has now also surpassed Streisand as the female artist with the most No 1 albums in history, with the two women previously tied with 11 each.
Swift albums now account for four of the five biggest debuts of the last five years, with Adele’s 2021 album 30 in fourth spot, just ahead of Speak Now.
